I photographed a show today by The Paper birds. It was so uplifting and enjoyable to watch, the majority of the cast were made up of older ladies who were full of energy and enthusiasm.

Leeds based, The Paper Birds have been working with members of Heydays, West Yorkshire Playhouse’s creative group for over 55′s, to explore real life tales of growing hair, growing ambitious, growing old and growing up to become invisible.
From puberty and mid-life crises’ to state pensions and dementia, Aged is a theatrical exploration of the inevitable journey that our minds and bodies undertake as we grow older. Hearts beating and cells multiplying as we form fingers and toes, opinions and desires…
