Its taken a little while to get through my back log of editing but I’m getting there. In august I was fortunate enough to spend the entire month at the Fringe. I had intended to go for 4 days at the beginning of the month as I had a couple of jobs booked. As one thing led to another I gradually picked up more work and stayed. One of the first things I made sure I did was to get accreditation for the festival. This meant that I would receive a daily list of what was happening and all the photocalls taking place. It was due to that list that I had the fortune to photograph No Fit State. The day the list came through and I saw No Fit State on there I knew it would be special. I had seen a show of theres 2 years earlier and knew it would be visually stunning. I wasn’t disappointed. The photo-call came and we got 3 acts to photograph. It was a glimpse but I wanted more. I made sure to chat to the relevant people to see if I could get back in to photograph the complete show. About a week later I went back and was given a rather fetching pink hi vis to wear so the audience knew I was there for a reason, and not just an over keen, camera wielding audience member.
The show was beautiful and so well executed! I feel lucky that I got to photograph it. If you can find a show near you then go and see it. Find out more about No Fit State here and check out some of the photos below.
